In a world fueled by emotions, the ability to respond rationally rather than emotionally is a skill that can significantly impact our personal and collective well-being. As humans have a common tendecy to utilize our experiences in the past as a method to reacting to situations of our present. Which is why we sabotage relationships with our friends, families, spouses, kids and more.

We see it in politics, without looking at the numbers or results of a policy, but because it wasn't presented by the party we support, by default we don't agree.

Question for you.... when was the last time you acknowledged to yourself that you're reacting to something emotionally as oppose to rationally?

When faced with confrtontation, did you stop to seek out the truth first? Maybe you're aren't giving full effort. Maybe you are being lazy. Maybe are really are too fat. Maybe there is more you can give in your marriage. Maybe what the person is trying to tell you is 100% right.

But we're conditioned to ruin a great moment to learn by reacting emotionally.
